Well, from what I know, the main difference between a real estate agent and a broker is the kind of responsibilities they hold. Real estate agents are more about the ground work—showing houses, getting listings, talking to buyers and sellers, you know, that sort of thing. Brokers, though, they have more on their plate. They can run their own real estate businesses and manage agents. If you’re buying a house, practically, it doesn’t make a huge difference whether you deal with an agent or a broker.
